Revival is coming.
The heart of this project, the heart of the Ximen Loft from team leader Chris O’Dell:
We’re living in a paradox. We’re satisfied completely in who He is and what He’s done for us.
Yet, we’re ever-hungry for more. We’re not satisfied. We know there’s more. We’re searching.
We’re longing. We know that He wants to bring revival to this nation more than we do. We
want to play part in it. No one at the Ximen Loft is content to sit on the sidelines as millions
waste their lives away on materialism and false religions. We’re diving in. We want to see
millions of lives changed. And we know this isn’t the end…So we’re here inviting them to an abundant life in Christ. We’re here being the Aroma of Christ, knowing that to some we’re hardly bearable, yet to others we’re the smell of life. We’ll be that smell until this nation is transformed, and we know there will be one day when every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord!
We’ll do whatever it takes to complete the mission God has given us, and we want to take part in the strategies that Taiwanese people are seeing. We want to raise up Taiwanese believers to take over and carry this ministry to the next level. We’ll stay up late and wake up early to see God’s work be done. We’ll work our own jobs on the side to raise the money necessary. We’ll pay for language study out of our own pockets and put our own dollars on the line for ministry, because we believe in what God is doing. We want to take part, and we’re blessed, because we understand the amazing work God is doing, and we know that God wants to use us to bring the message of the Kingdom.
We want the ministry of the Aroma, and the nation of Taiwan, to look like this:
People, understanding that the gospel isn’t a quaint message heard on Sunday mornings. It’s not a social club to come to once a week. Rather, the gospel, the Kingdom, the Church is an active, life-invading force of love that will break its way into every aspect of life.
We dream of meetings that don’t just happen on Sunday mornings, but come together at all times of the day, week, and month, because people are hungry. We dream of a people so caught up in the revival, that none of the current vices of sex, alcohol, money, and fame have any draw. We dream of night clubs turned into centers celebrating the gospel (already happened once), theaters filled for movies and meetings focused on calling on God for His revival, coffee shops brewing up opportunities to hear the message in small and large groups, and streets filled with an army marching forward with the message of Jesus on their lips. We’re not satisfied until He is proclaimed as King.
We want to show people that the message of life found in Jesus is completely pervasive; it will transform you completely. We expect to see God’s work being done on the streets as we meet strangers and share Christ’s love, in our places of employment as we pray for coworkers, and in our homes as we invite people in.
